This gorgeous little bridge is part of Salt Lick Lodge in Tsavo West National Park in Kenya. During our safari trip, we were privileged to stop in some great accommodations, including the magnificent lodges of Voi, Amboseli Serena, and Taita Hills. For us though, Salt Lick Lodge was purely a stop off to allow our tour group the chance to view and photograph lions in the wild.
As many people know, there is no guarantee that the animal you are so desperate to see on your safari adventures will miraculously appear and beg you to take its photograph; hence our stop off at Salt Lick.
However, with a bit of luck and the benefit of a quick-witted tour guide, your chances of discovering animals within the park rises dramatically. We were very fortunate, our driver was great and we got to photograph this wonderful pride a few hours after our Salt Lick visit.
This next bridge was taken in Venice.
When we made the move from the UK to Southern Greece, part of our journey incorporated a 26 hour ferry trip from Venice to Patras. On board the ferry, we got the most amazing views of Venice. Its magnificence unfolded before our eyes as we headed out to open sea. I confess to going a little camera crazy and taking masses of photos, until my finger ends numbed completely and I couldn’t press the button any more that is!
The Corinth Canal has a road bridge high above it which offers magnificent views of the canal and the opportunity to take amazing photos to show off to your friends. On a trip through the canal, I photographed the bridge from our boat. The people looked like tiny ants above this wondrous man-made achievement.

Great pictures and your stories about them are wonderful!
Aww thanks Meg, so pleased you liked it
Beautiful! I think the one from Kenya is my favorite.
I must confess that it’s mine too
As soon as I saw what the challenge was, that bridge was the first image that came to mind, even though it was taken 18ish years ago.
Pure awesomeness! What fabulous experiences & cheers to you my friend!
Thanks Cindy
A couple of cool shots!
Thank you, although the first bridge photo was more luck than judgement. I was desperately trying to take a photo before anyone stepped on it
Those bridges look a little intimidating to me…beautiful, but a little scary!
