For this weeks travel theme, I chose this photograph which I took during a visit to a crocodile village in Kenya. I think they make a lovely couple!
Oh what sweetness! And from such an unlikely pair.
Shaz
Really interesting! Very different from any crocs I’ve seen in the States. Very unusual snouts. The DO make a wonderful couple, Eleenie!
They are sweet aren’t they! I think they were made for each other!
oooooh! kinda like sharks mating. or do crocodiles care for their young together? i don’t think so? saw a lot in africa and one monster in Panama! crocs are more aggressive than allies. spooky when you come upon either on a trail!
I was happy to photograph them from the other side of a barrier, I got the jitters when I was in Florida and saw them wandering around the sides of the road, I don’t think I could cope with meeting them on a trail! Do you know, we watched a film about them and I honestly can’t remember anything they told us, how bad is that?! Something for me to research I think!
Eleenie-
I couldn’t get over the monster one we saw in Panama! I seriously would not hike with the possibility of that around the bend. The guide was an expert and he was stunned by it’s size. Apparently quite rare. It was more than enough for me, thank you. I’m not a big lizard fan anyway, but a monster one, with teeth and a crocodile. No thanks!
Cheers,
Cindy
The rock(is that what they are on?) looks heart shaped too. Must be a couple in crocodile love.
Well spotted Mary, I had never noticed that before!
