At 8 months old our beautiful little Bess may no longer be little but she is still totally beautiful. Full of life and with oodles of personality she is by far the most intelligent and endearing pup that we’ve probably ever had. Despite her love for digging holes, potato and sweetcorn pilfering, sneaking up onto the compost heap to see what’s available to snack on and pinching plastic bottles from under our noses, we love her to pieces and wouldn’t change her for the world.

“Why is it always MY fault?”

I think Bess just got herself a new fan. Me. Give her a big hug and a kiss from me. Shaz
Haha, I certainly will!
Thank you, she has so much personality it’s easy to catch on camera.
Lovely photos, her character shines through
What a sweetheart, and I love her name too.
It took us a while to decide on her name, all our dogs so far have been chosen a name that begins with the letter B. As time goes on, it’s getting tricker to find a name that we think will suit the dogs personality and which we like too. I think we got it right this time, Bess suits her perfectly
Bess is so adorable! She has the face of a wonderful companion! Great photos and you captured her thoughts so well!

Thank you so much Debra
She’s look beautiful! Love the good girl photo.
Bess is looking more and more like a sheep dog now.
Be careful with her and the corn cobs…apparently they scoff them and the pieces don’t digest – the corn kernels are fine but the cobs cause big blockage problems. I had Sooky (my new pup) down with what’s known as “Gutzing”. Rob left the big dog’s new bag of kibble on the laundry floor and little madam did a sneaky and ripped a hole in it and just stuffed herself. $380 later….! I can tell you that the kibble goes right into the feed box now.
Yes, she getting more Bulgarian sheep dog looking by the day, her tail is so gorgeous now. Thanks for mentioning about the sweetcorn cobs, I am constantly having to keep a close eye on her in the garden, the little monkey thinks it’s self service and helps herself to anything and everything! I hope Sooky is better now? I expect she is pretty big now too? It really is like looking after kids isn’t it?!
What a sweetheart. She sounds delightful. Great photo spread of her too, Eleenie. Thanks for sharing her with us.
Thank you Alys, I’m delighted that you like her too. Bess really is a terrific dog to own, we consider ourselves so lucky to have her.
I know the feeling. Animals enrich our lives in a thousand ways.
